We're excited to announce our partnership with Radius, a sequencing layer designed to secure transactions, guarantee fast finality, and streamline interoperability in rollups. It uses cryptographic algorithms and ZKP for SKDE (Single Key Delay Encryption), an advanced cryptography and ZK-based scheme. It ensures that the transaction ordering process is trustless, preventing centralized sequencers from engaging in frontrunning, sandwiching, and censoring transactions. Radius is to sequencing what Gevulot is to proving. By integrating both, L2s and rollups can significantly lower overhead costs.
The shared sequencing layer is a modular component of blockchains responsible for ordering transactions, without executing them. It separates the roles of ordering, executing, and last but not least Gevulot’s core business model, proving transactions.
In a monumental collaboration, Gevulot and Radius are charting a course toward a future marked by neutral, modular stacks, challenging the dominance of monolithic, siloed, and centralized designs. While Radius concentrates on decentralizing the sequencer, Gevulot emerges as the foremost decentralized prover layer, catering to value-aligned partners within the zk rollup framework. Together, they offer indispensable layers to aggregate transactions from diverse modular rollup chains, streamlining the process from sequencing to proving/verifying to DA, thus enhancing the efficiency and security of rollups.
The integration of Gevulot's imminent production-ready Firestarter network and Radius's shared sequencer heralds a new era for Layer 2s and Rollups as a Service (RaaS). This integration abstracts both sequencing and proving, empowering RaaS partners like AltLayer and Madara to facilitate seamless deployment for new zk rollups. As this partnership expands to encompass other ecosystems, the tandem of Radius's decentralized sequencer and Gevulot's decentralized prover is poised to become the cornerstone of future standards.
“When we decided to utilize zkp for user-centric rollup design, we understood the necessity of a decentralized proving layer. We are excited about this collaboration and look forward to the challenges we will tackle together with Gevulot to enhance the experience for rollup users.” - Tariz Jeong, Co-founder of Radius
